Arruda, Esq. RE: ABA citation proposal I strongly urge the Judicial Conference to adopt the ABA's proposed "immediately available permanent citation" system. As a new lawyer (J.D. 1996), I hope to be able to use the Internet in my career as a major source of legal information. The immediately available citation system would make legal research over the Internet much more feasible. This would allow small law firms and solo practitioners inexpensive and simple access to numerous court cases. I would also hope that the Judicial Conference would endorse adopting the citation system for older cases so as to allow competition and ease of access for more than just future court decisions. Thank you for allowing this opportunity to comment. Karl Arruda 704 N. Monroe St., #5 Arlington, VA 22201 karruda@envirolink.org
